30 June - day #33

¡Santiago de Compostela! We made it in around 11 am, caught the noon "Pilgrim's Mass" and got to see the massive botafumeiro swing along the transcept of the cathedral. We'll take a bus to Finisterre tomorrow then return for our last night before heading to Madrid and our flight back home to ATL. Glorious.

  2. Just found your blog. I know that you and Starr have had a great journey. I could never walk the miles you walked. I know that you all enjoyed all the sites and beautiful scenery around you and the love of all the people you met along the way. Both will need a good pedicure and massage when you return.

  5. We sure looked for you guys when we got to Santiago, but Jenny and I had a rest day in Burgos and never were able to catch up to you. Did you make it all the way to the end with 16 pairs of socks? Was really cool meeting you and Star. Hope you're finding life at home really satisfying.

    1. Actually Rick, I just realised we also arrived in Santiago on the same day, the 30th, and we looked for you at the 3 pm mass. Oh dear, so close and yet so far! We really enjoyed our Camino but decided not to go to Finisterre, instead we flew to Barcelona the next day.
